ふじのかい（Fuji Japanese Music）は加州の非営利団体で、大和楽と長唄の演奏グループです。渡部まり子（大和杏笙）が主宰し、大和楽は1933年創設の西洋ハーモニーを取り入れた女性主体の三味線音楽です。

Fuji Japanese Music is a California nonprofit performing Yamato-gaku and Nagauta. Led by Mariko Watabe (Kyosho Yamato), Yamato-gaku is a female-oriented shamisen music founded in 1933, blending traditional Japanese music with Western harmony.

El Marino Japanese Chorus

Founded in 2019 by director Aiko Fukushima, the El Marino Japanese Chorus is part of the cultural after-school program at El Marino Language School in Culver City, CA. The group gives students a special opportunity to explore Japanese culture while becoming bilingual in Japanese and English.

They’ve performed at events for Terasaki Foundation, Torrance Bunka-sai, and the Culver City Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony. Their mission is to share the beauty and fun of Japanese music with the community and help build stronger connections through culture, language, and the joy of singing together.

Orange Island Culture Salon based in Irvine.

アーバインにあるダンススタジオ M.A.Dの選抜されたメンバーで結成されたキッズチームです。

先日行われたダンスコンテスト"Showstopper"で第2位を獲得。

獅子舞は古代から人々の邪気を食べる儀式として定着しており、お祝い事などで縁起物として披露されます。

We are a Ryukyu Shishimai (lion dance) team in Los Angeles.

Since ancient times, the lion dance has been a ritual to eat the evil spirits of people and is performed at celebrations as a symbol of good luck. 

Please do not be afraid to be bitten by a lion!

Wakahisa Kai  is Japanese classical dance group. A rather unique feature of this dance group is that the students perform strictly classical dances, not modern or contemporary dances, as some Japanese dance groups do.

Their dances are handed down through hundreds of years of their dance school, which is the Wakayagi School headquartered in Japan and are often excerpts from dance sequences in the Kabuki drama. The students who have achieved professional ranking have the name Wakayagi as part of their stage name.

こんにちは！聖愛幼稚園チアダンスチームです！

チアダンスは、チアリーディングから派生したダンスをメインとした競技で、アメリカでは「ポンダンス」「ダンス」として広く知られています。リズム感・表現力・協調性、そしてあきらめずに頑張る気持ちを育み、踊っている子どもたち自身はもちろん、観ている方々にも元気と笑顔を届けるダンスです！

聖愛幼稚園では、2018年より課外活動としてチアダンスクラスを開講し、夏祭り・クリスマス会・運動会など、年間を通して様々なイベントに出演しています。小さな子どもたちの一生懸命なパフォーマンスは、多くの方々から「元気が出た！」「笑顔になれた！」とご好評をいただいております。

地域イベント・福祉施設などでのステージ出演依頼も受付中です！

Hello! We are the Seiai Yochien Cheer Dance Team!

Cheer dance is a performance-based sport that originated from cheerleading and focuses primarily on dance. In the United States, it is widely known as "pom dance" or simply "dance." Through cheer dance, children develop rhythm, expression, teamwork, and a never-give-up spirit. It's a fun and uplifting activity that energizes not only the performers themselves but also everyone watching!

At Seiai Yochien, we launched our cheer dance class in 2018 as part of our extracurricular activities. Since then, our team has performed at various events throughout the year, including Bridge Summer Festivals, Christmas events, and Undokai (sports day). Our young dancers’ heartfelt performances have received wonderful feedback such as, “It lifted my spirits!” and “They made me smile!”

We are also accepting invitations to perform at local events, senior facilities, and more!
Our energetic performances are sure to brighten up any occasion!

The meaning of Yuujou is friendship, which is indicative of the camaraderie and shared goals that formed this group in 2012. 

Yuujou Daiko is dedicated to mastering the beautiful art of taiko and bringing the high energy & powerful sounds to communities throughout the greater Los Angeles area.

The group has played at events including the Long Beach Aquarium, Chinese Firecracker Run, Clippers Half-time, Legoland, and Bridge USA Festivals! Yuujou Daiko is currently based at the Japanese Cultural Institute in Gardena.
